Frankly speaking, for the last 16 years, I have always wanted to say something about the greatest academician I ever knew in my childhood in Luanshya, the man from Lusaka, Rozius Siatwambo. Others said he wasn’t hum@n because he made candidates pass exams, while others claimed his teaching techniques were supernatural, and some even called him the Rick Ross of academics because he was exceptionally good at what he did. These were just people’s opinions.

Today, I reflect on his book, ‘Exams Made Easy’, which changed my life forever. I was among the first Zambians to receive a copy many years ago when I was in secondary school. It taught me how to prepare for any exams, and I succeeded, scoring 6 points. Dr. Rozius Siatwambo, affectionately known as “Ba Rozay” in school, is the first Zambian to make education so attractive, even to those who had lost desire.

I wish Dr. Siatwambo had lived in the days of Maina Soko, the mysterious freedom fighter who di£d in the Zambezi River after being sh0t by Southern Rhodesian police while trying to cross the river for two reasons: firstly, to seek a missionary d0ctor to cure her lepr0sy, and secondly, to take her child to a missionary school across the river. However, a hospital is named after Maina Soko, and I propose that a university should also be named in honor of Dr. Rozius Siatwambo.
