Minister of Information and Media Cornelius Mweetwa has expressed displeasure with the “tribal remarks” members of the Tonse Alliance.

Mr Mweetwa Alliance Secretary General Raphael Nakacinda that there’s no place for tribal campaigns in Zambia.

He said Zambians rejected tribal politics in 2021 when they voted vehemently for a leader they were aware was the right leader.

“We thought that they had learnt their lessons in 2021. We would like to urge the people of Petauke not to listen to listen to people who Front tribe and not policy,” he said.

“Government and the administration of the New Dawn is a government of politics of policy.”

He implored the people of Petauke to shame those who want to use tribe as a platform to win.

Mr Mweetwa said the people of Petauke should vote based on the performance of President Hakainde Hichilema.
