A woman who claims she was raped by renowned televangelist John Nundwe alias John General testified how she was shocked, afraid and confused and she saw prophet John Nundwe alias John naked.
The 26-year-old woman, who will not be named to protect her from stigma, said she was confused because she the clergyman went to her house to pray for her to help cure her unending miscarriages.
The woman, fake name, Chisha, said she never thought Mr Nundwe, the Miracle Impact Ministries International Church overseer would force himself on her especially that he went to the house accompanied by his male colleague.
“I was scared, shocked. I wanted to run but he told me not to run because he wanted to have sex with me. I was confused,” the woman, clad in a blue and grey dress and mild makeup said.
She narrated that the accused had also asked the man he had come with, who was seated in her living room, to come with a gun to shoot her since she had refused to sleep with him.
The woman said while the accused had sex with her, he later jumped off from her when her husband stormed in the spare bedroom.
This is in a case Nundwe, 52, who is, is charged with rape which alleged happened on November 22, 2023.
In her testimony, Chisha gave a background of how she had been having miscarriages in her six year of a childless marriage.
She explained that she came across a TV programme where woman were giving testimonies of how they successfully conceived after seeking John General’s miracle interventions.
Chisha also decided to also see the same cleric to help find a solution to her childlessness.
The woman said she also informed her husband that she would seek help from the accused over the couple’s childlessness, and that he agreed.
The court heard that in November 2023 after meeting the accused at his church, Chisha was given anointing oil she bought at K1000 for 10 bottles, plus anointing water.
She said accused instructed her to drink the oil thrice a day and also sprinkle in the house and use part of the oil when moping the house.
Chisha followed the prescription but never conceived.
“After I told him I had not conceived, he said he would be free on a Wednesday the same week and he would come home. I told my husband that the Bishop would come to pray for me and he agreed and that he would also be there at home”.
Chisha said the accused never went to her home on the agreed date after being held up.
She added that on the day the accused went to her home for prayers, her husband had gone to his friend’s place to get a car spare part.
The court heard that the accused later arrived at her house accompanied by his male associate and asked whom she was with.
“I told him I was alone. I went to the kitchen to check on what I was cooking. I later went back to the sitting room. Ba Busa told me that he wanted to check the rooms in the house”.
She said the accused started inspecting the rooms before he entered the first bedroom, while his male friend remained in the living room.
“I then went to the main bedroom to get a Bible and notebook and pen, while looking for the book. The accused then called me to the room where he was”.
When she went to the room and stood by the door, Chisha said she was shocked to see Bishop Nundwe.
She said she wanted to run but he told her not to because he wanted to have sex with her.
“He called the man in the sitting room and that man came and pushed me from behind into the room where the Bishop had sex with me after he pulled her legs, removed her pad and underwear, before forcing himself on her”.
