We, the youths of TONSE and citizens of Zambia, rise as one to condemn the blatant manipulation of young people, exploiting them to legitimize the illicit attempts to amend our constitution. This is a brazen assault on our democracy, and we won’t stand idly by.
We reject the deceitful tactics aimed at undermining our constitutional rights, and we’ll attend the Indaba to expose these maneuvers. Our presence won’t be to endorse, but to safeguard the integrity of our constitution. We won’t let our fellow youths be swayed by petty bribes or coerced into supporting these illegitimate amendments.
Our loyalty to Zambia is unwavering, and no amount of money can buy our patriotism. We demand that our leaders uphold the principles of democracy, respect the constitution, and prioritize the interests of the Zambian people. The constitution is not a tool for political manipulation, but a safeguard of our rights and freedoms.
We won’t be silenced, and we won’t be swayed. We’ll continue to speak out against these attempts to undermine our democracy, and we’ll hold our leaders accountable for their actions. The future of Zambia is at stake, and we’ll fight to protect it.
We’ve asked questions to the President and expect answers today. We seek clarification on the selection process for youths to ask questions, as every youth deserves a voice at the Indaba.
