The Court of Appeal has stayed tje judgment of the Economic and Financial Crimes Court which forfeited former First Lady Esther Lungu’s 15 double-storey flats, worth over K61 million.
The former First Lady had lost her properties located in State Lodge on grounds that they were acquired through proceeds of crime.
However, dissatisfied with the lower court’s decision, Mrs Lungu filed a notice of appeal, which the Appeals court has granted, awaiting determination of the matter on the grounds advanced.
