The Luanshya Municipal Council Funeral Superintendent under Public Health Department yesterday led a team to Mpatamatu Cemetery , Monday, November 10th, 2025, to bury a male body and a stillborn baby that had been lying unclaimed at Thompson Hospital Mortuary since August 17th, 2025.
The bodies were brought to the hospital by officers from Malaika Police Post and Luanshya Traffic officers, unfortunately, no one came forward to claim them. A dignified burial was arranged, and the bodies were laid to rest at Mpatamatu Cemetery.
The stillborn baby was particularly heartbreaking, a tiny life lost before it had a chance to begin. Sincere condolences to anyone searching for their loved ones; may they find closure and peace.
