‎Seven people who were killed in a brutal attack involving murder, aggravated robbery and arson in Kamboyi Village of Imenda Area in Lukulu District, Western Province, are being put to rest today.

‎The attack occurred in the early hours of June 6, 2026, when suspected criminals armed with offensive weapons allegedly set five houses ablaze.

‎Six people died in the inferno, while a one-year-five-month-old infant was allegedly killed with a hammer.

‎Several other victims sustained injuries during the attack, which also saw the theft of 43 cattle valued at more than K370,000.
