The Government has announced that the long-awaited recruitment of health workers will officially get underway next week, with vacancies set to be advertised from Tuesday, July 14.
The recruitment exercise will be conducted by the Civil Service Commission in partnership with the Ministry of Health.
According to the Commission, the advertisement will remain open for three weeks, allowing interested and qualified applicants enough time to submit their applications.
To ensure the opportunity reaches a wider audience, the recruitment notice will be published again on Thursday, July 16.
After the application period closes, candidates will be given a chance to confirm that their details have been correctly captured before the selection process moves to the next stage.
The verification exercise will run from September 1 to September 11, 2026, at the District Health Offices where applicants submitted their applications.
Officials have advised prospective applicants to check their information carefully during the verification period to avoid any errors that could affect their applications.
The recruitment advertisement will appear in the Zambia Daily Mail and the Times of Zambia newspapers.
The exercise forms part of the Government’s continued efforts to strengthen the country’s public healthcare system by increasing the number of health workers in public health facilities.
