Some drivers and passengers on commercial vehicles in Lusaka have expressed displeasure over the latest increase in fuel prices.

Public passenger drivers have complained that even if fuel is increased, fares almost remain the same because commuters are always asking for discounts.

They say business has drastically gone down with reduced trips because most local commuters are now footing.

And Citizens First Party says it is disappointed that government has remained adamant over the monthly fuel adjustment which is affecting the livelihoods of the masses.

Party Spokesperson Frank Sichone says it is very clear that the UPND government is not taking the nation anywhere but deep into poverty.

Following Saturday fuel price changes, a liter of petrol which was buying at K29.42 during the month of September will now be buying at K29.98 while diesel which was buying at K26.88 will now be buying at K29.96 per liter.
