Police in Lusaka’s Kanyama compund have detained Moses Mukele, aged 23 of John Laing compound, for allegedly murd£ring his wife.
Bridget Musonda, 21, was k!lled after a marital dispute, believed to have happened yesterday 8th October, 2023 at around 16:30hrs.
According to Nkani ,Police spokesperson Rae Hamoonga has confirmed the incident and explained that police received a report from a concerned neighbor to the deceased, who reported that Moses had murd£red his wife.
“Prior to the incident, the deceased informed the neighbors that her and the husband had a domestic quarrel but later went back home. Immediately she got there, a fight then erupted between the two”, Hamoonga explains.
Neighbors then rushed to the scene after hearing some noise, only to find the deceased stabbed with a knife on the back of the head.
Bridget was rushed to Kanyama Level One Hospital, where she later died.
Mr Hamoonga said the body is deposited in the mortuary awaiting postmortem while the suspect has been detained in police custody amidst investigations.
