Government says it will recruit additional teachers specialised in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics subjects in a bid to improve science education in Zambia.

Education Minister DOUGLAS SYAKALIMA says currently the country has 15,871 specialized teachers.

Mr SYAKALIMA says the numbers of specialised teachers may not be sufficient stressing that this is why Government has an ongoing plan to recruit additional teachers particularly in rural and underserved areas.
