A suspected defiler in Sinda District, Eastern Province, has allegedly cut short his life few days after committing the offence.
Mabvuto Phiri whose body was discovered yesterday,went missing on August 15, 2025.
Eastern Province Police Commanding Officer Robertson Mweemba said the deceased is alleged to have used a tree to cut short his life but was found with bruises on the forehead and legs which were swollen.
He said the body was deposited to Kalindawalo General hospital awaiting post-mortem to ascertain the exact cause of death as police suspect foul play.
