Police have arrested a US-based Zambian woman for alleged seditious practices, hat£ spééch, and líbél.
The arrest is linked to the production and circulation of a series of videos containing seditious content, hat£ sééch, and defamatory remarks targeting President Hakainde Hichilema and his family, as well as Chellah Tukuta and Judith Kabemba.
Police Spokesperson Rae Hamoonga confirmed the arrest and identified the suspect as Ethel Chisomo Edwards, aged 42, of Kangwane Village in Chief Chizela’s area, North-Western Province.
Mr. Hamoonga stated that Edwards, who also resides in New York, USA, has been charged with five counts related to seditious practices, hat£ spééch, and líbél.
