The harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few.

With or without monetary rewards and applause, you will still help others because your heart won’t let you rest to watch another human being suffering or being treated unfairly. You won’t rest until you help the next person get out of a difficult situation. You are a privilege to the less privileged, and a fortune to the less fortunate. You are God’s vessel sent to defend His people and to give hope to the hopeless, and help to the helpless.

However, if your ‘humanitarian’ work is driven by ulterior motives, time will catch up with you and your insincerity will get exposed because the work of God is not for show. The only time it can be for show is when it is being shown for the purpose of testifying (Rev 12:11). If you are not genueine, you will be fatigued sooner than later. Yes, you will get tired of doing good because genuineness can never be faked. If you are fake, you will surely eventually get tired and fall off while those who do it from the heart will do it consistently for years and years, with or without pictures, with or without money, and with or without company. They will enjoy doing it because they enjoy seeing the smiles on the faces of the people they help.

If you are doing it with a heart and a conviction, keep it up and continue doing good because God sees your heart and He shall always reward you for serving Him and saving mankind.

There is a big difference between publicity stunts and humanitarian work. Even when the cameras are off, a real philanthropist will still give. The God who sees your deeds and your heart when the camera lens is off will never forget how you labored in His fields. He will remember you together with your offsprings and their future generations. Keep it up genuine humanitarian!

I have noticed that the trend of pulling publicity stunts in the name of humanitarian work is growing and I feel compelled to say philanthropic work is deeper than content creation.

I just thought of encouraging anyone and everyone who has accepted the calling of being a humanitarian to never feel discouraged when there is no reward from man.
