Meet Mwengo Mwale, a proudly Zambian boxer making strides on the African boxing scene. Mwengo represented Zambia at the 2023 All-Africa Games in Ghana, where he displayed his incredible skill, determination, and resilience to win a silver medal and then went on to win another silver medal at the African Boxing Championships in Kinshasa, Congo.
Mwengo is now setting his sights, even higher —commonwealth games, Glasgow, Scotland, next year. He has already begun intense preparations of course with one goal in mind: bring gold home to Zambia.
“Well, I have started my preparations towards next year’s Commonwealth Games, and my mission is to bring victory to my country – I am aiming for no less than a gold medal,” he said.
With his commitment, discipline and fighting spirit, Mwengo Mwale is one of Zambia’s emerging boxing stars, and will no doubt fly the Zambian flag even higher on the world stage.
