Former Zambia Revenue Authority commissioner general Kingsley Chanda and his co-accused are set to be released on bail following imprisonment early last month.
In what is the latest development since incarceration, the Lusaka Magistrate’s Court has granted Mr Chanda K50,000 bail, in his own recognisance, pending determination of an appeal against his six-year jail term.
Mr Chanda was jailed alongside ZRA Director of Administration Callistus Kaoma for failure to follow procedure in the disposal of over 22 government vehicles.
