The Northern Technical College –NORTEC- in Ndola has lifted the suspensions of students who illegally registered for examinations with TEVETA despite owing the institution.

NORTEC Principal MARTIN KASONSO says the decision has been made to allow the students to prepare for and sit their examinations while investigations continue.

During a meeting with Copperbelt Minister ELISHA MATAMBO, Mr. KASONSO said the college had suspended four hundred students who were found to be part of the syndicate, together with the masterminds.

Meanwhile, Mr. MATAMBO commended the institution for allowing the affected students to sit the examinations as the forgery case is being investigated.

He also called for firm action against the eleven masterminds behind the scheme.
