‎‎ZAMBIAN Film Maker Wilcliff Mwamba has responded to criticism from social media users following comments he made in relation to Emmanuella, which triggered widespread backlash online.

‎‎The controversy arose after Mwamba posed a question on social media, which some users interpreted as inappropriate. The post quickly attracted criticism, with several users condemning his remarks, while others accused him of crossing ethical boundaries.‎‎

In his response, Mwamba explained that his comments were prompted by a video he watched on YouTube in which allegations were made against Mark Angel.

‎‎He maintained that his intention was not to suggest any inappropriate interest in the child but to seek clarity on the claims raised in the video.‎‎

Mwamba expressed concern over what he described as a lack of reading and comprehension culture among some social media users, stating that many rushed to comment without fully understanding his post.

‎‎He also condemned the abuse directed at him, saying the attacks were emotionally distressing and led him to tears.‎‎

He further warned that individuals who insulted or defamed him online could face legal consequences, citing existing cyber laws, and cautioned against continued harassment.‎‎

The incident has fueled renewed debate on responsible online engagement, cyberbullying, and the interpretation of sensitive topics on social media platforms.‎
