Chipata-based peace advocate Morgan Banda has thanked the United Party for National Development (UPND) Government for facilitating accommodation for him.

Mr. Banda revealed that earlier today he went to State House in the hope of meeting President Hakainde Hichilema, but was advised to first make a formal appointment.

The peace advocate said he would have had nowhere to stay were it not for the assistance, as he does not have money to remain in Lusaka until his wish of meeting the President becomes a reality.

Speaking in an Interview, Mr Banda said he also visited the UPND Secretariat, where he said he was warmly welcomed.

Thereafter, Mr. Banda continued engaging members of the public as part of his ongoing mission to promote peace and national unity.

Mr. Banda reiterated his desire to meet the President in order to commend him for restoring peace and order in the country and to express gratitude for the various developmental programmes being implemented across the nation.

Mr. Banda began his symbolic walk from Chipata on 16th December and arrived in Lusaka on 25th December, 2025.

Throughout his journey and upon arrival in the capital, he has consistently preached messages of peace, unity, and harmony among Zambians.
