The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) is reportedly investigating Chipata City Council over the procurement of a grader and roller compactor at a cost of K3.4 million using the 2022 Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
According to sources at the local authority, a search of records, returns, reports and other documents relating to the transaction has been conducted by ACC.
Procurement officers and other officers at the local authority have also appeared for interrogations before the commission.
It is alleged that the procurement procedure in the purchase process of the grader and compactor under the 2022 CDF. This is contained in a report published by Zambia Daily mail.
