We promised free education, abanesu baletalika, now it’s here, President Hakainde Hichilema has showed off.
Speaking when he featured on Radio Icengelo in Ndola today, the Head of State said it is nice hearing people praise the New Dawn Administration for fulfilling the promise of free education.
And President Hichilema assured Zambians that no child will be sitting on the floor by the end of 2022.
“Now in Kabushi and Kwacha it’s the desk issue…before the end of 2022, not just because there is a by election in Kabushi or Kwacha, or Luangwa, we have committed a target that no child should be sitting on the floor, there must be desks,” he said.
“And these desks the good news is that we are not importing from other countries, fyakale ifyo. Filyafyalipwa fyakale. No single import. When we hear that someone is importing a desk, that will be a matter of conflict between the government and that person…..we want the desks to be done here.”
The Head of State also said the people of Kabushi are “thanking us for the teachers, but this is not enough. This is just the beginning.”
