S*x workers invade Livingstone to cash in on revelers to the Mosi-Day of Thunder musical festival.

To mitigate possible s*xual infections, health officials distributed about four to five boxes of condoms each containing 144 sachets to bars and night clubs.

And Ministry of Health officials have revealed that patients at a newly built mini-hospital situated less than 100 meters from the Mosi-Day of Thunder musical stage had to be evacuated to Livingstone University Teaching Hospital to avoid further complications from the ‘tantalising’ music.

A check by The Mast revealed that the tourist capital had more females lodging at various guest houses than males ahead of the event held yesterday.

The Mosi-Day of Thunder makes its return after 2019 when Nigerian Yemi Eberechi Alede graced the event at Villa Grounds.

However, this year’s event only has local musicians such as Macky 2, T Sean and Bobby East.

Others expected are Towels Kaira, Chanda Na Kay and Sky Dollar.

The Zambian Breweries sponsored event is an annual event that drives local tourism, drawing thousands of people from far flung places of the country and beyond.

Zambian Breweries’ corporate affairs director Ezekiel Sekele said the company places importance on the safety and wellbeing of consumers and takes the first step in encouraging responsible drinking of alcohol.

“We want every experience that our consumer has with our brand to be a positive and lasting one. We take our responsibility as the nation’s largest brewer very seriously and that is why we are working with our partners (RTSA, ZP, Coca Cola) to spread the message of responsible consumption as we head towards the Mosi Day of Thunder over the long weekend,” said Sekele.
