Zambia National Service (ZNS) officers deployed at Kasumbalesa Border Post to curb the illegal export of maize grain and mealie meal have been warned against falling prey to unscrupulous business people who may attempt to offer them bribes to smuggle the commodities.

ZNS deputy commander and chief of staff Reuben Mwewa says officers and soldiers who will be found wanting or compromised will be dismissed.

Major General Mwewa has implored the officers to remain uncompromising in discharging their duties to safeguard the country’s food security. This is contained in a report published by Zambia Daily Mail.
