[Diamond TV] Niza Chilingwa a Zambian Chess player has become the first Zambian Chess student to win a gold medal at the ongoing All Africa University Games in Nairobi, Kenya.

Chilingwa is a third year student at Mulungushi University School of Medicine in Livingstone.

She is also the first student to scoop both classic and blitz individual categories in chess at FISU.

Chess Federation of Zambia (CFZ) Vice president, Lesley Chikuse is happy that a Zambian has finally won gold at the continental games.

The All Africa University Games bring Africa’s top university athletes together to compete for prestigious continental titles.

Over 4000 athletes are competing at the 10th edition of the games running from 6th to 10th June.
