Team Zambia’s Kundanji Kalengo was crowned champion of the Men’s Singles Plate event at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games after defeating Muqtadir Sadruddin Nimji of Kenya via a 3-0 score line.

Niddy Mingilishi posted a time of 54.30 to finish 7th in Heat 1 of the Women’s 400m event. She missed out on qualification to the next round.

African Champion Muzala Samukonga and Kennedy Luchembe have qualified to the semi-finals of the Men’s 400m event after posting times of 44.89 (Personal Best for Muzala) and 46.74 respectively.
Both will be in action on Friday 5th July 2022.
