THE Federal President of the Republic of Germany, Dr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier, is scheduled to undertake a State Visit to Zambia from 1st to 2nd November, 2023.
Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Stanley Kakubo, says President Hakainde Hichilema and Steinmeier are expected to hold bilateral talks centered on key issues of mutual interest.
Kakubo says the engagements will focus on issues relating to Water and Sanitation, Agriculture, Small and Medium Enterprises Development, Energy, Trade and Investment.
Steinmeier is also scheduled to visit some projects supported by the German Government, including witnessing the signing of an agreement between the Department of Water and KfW Development Bank in Livingstone.
Kakubo says Steinmeier’s visit is highly significant as Germany is a pivotal global economic powerhouse and a prominent member of the European Union.
