Zambia’s High Commissioner to Australia, ELIAS MUNSHYA says policies being implemented by the government in various sectors of the economy are yielding positive results.
Dr. MUNSHYA has cited education as one of the sectors that has been transformed with prudent policies that the government is implementing.

Speaking to ZANIS in an interview in Lusaka , Dr MUNSHYA said his recent visit to Milenge District in Luapula Province indicates that residents are benefiting from government’s policy of free education.

Dr MUNSHYA says government schools in the district have increased enrolment of pupils as a result of free education.

Meanwhile, the High Commissioner says the teacher recruitment exercise which was undertaken by the government has contributed to the delivery of quality education in rural communities.

Dr MUNSHYA has indicated that Lwela Secondary and Milenge Boarding Secondary Schools are among learning facilities that have benefited from the deployment of teachers.

He has expressed happiness with the level of commitment exhibited by new teachers in executing their duties.

Dr MUNSHYA has also praised President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA for strides the government has scored in enhancing education both in urban and rural areas.
