The long-standing dispute over the retirement house of late President Levy Mwanawasa has finally been resolved.
The State has agreed to compensate University of Lusaka Limited (UNILUS) with another piece of land measuring 18 hectares in the airport area, Chongwe.
Late former first Lady Maureen Mwanawasa had contended that she was the legal owner of the property, but UNILUS had claimed it had bought the property from the previous owners.
It was alleged that the house was used as collateral by the former first lady for a loan from Ms Chipasi and Mr Kwabena.
After failing to settle the debt, the duo took ownership of the property and offered to sell it back to her.
When she could not buy it, they sold to UNILUS in April last year.
