Deeply honored to have received a courtesy call from Her Excellency Irene Khan, the UN Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Expression, at State House this afternoon.
Ms. Khan visited Zambia at the invitation of our government, and we are pleased that, during her short stay, she has engaged with a diverse range of stakeholders, including the Church, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), and our colleagues in the opposition, among many others.
Our government remains committed to transparency and dialogue in the area of feedom of expression, as we continue to strengthen our relationship with this UN Agency, for the benefit of all our citizens.
