…where he questioned authorities what their motive against Chisokone Market was

Following his sentencing to nine months in prison, a video has surfaced on social media where Kitwe-based Pastor Dancun Simuchimba raised question regarding issues surrounding Chisokone Market.
In the video which is believed to have been made a while ago, Pastor Simuchimba castigated the government for demolishing stalls at the said market.
It is believed that it is the sentiments in question which led to his arrest and sentencing.
“It is now getting out of hand. It looks like ba Council and DC, there is an invisible hand. A DC is a very small government official compared to the PS, the minister and the President. Everybody knows about the issue we are going through at Chisokone Market,” he said in the video.
“This issue is very small. Now, are you people trying to tell us that there is something very big you are planning against Chisokone Market? You are trying so hard, fighting your own people, the marketeers. What are you after? Last night you brought in your own ba kapokola, close to 200 police officers… we are told, ba council even dressed ba UPND cadres, nabafwala ama uniform yaba Council Police so that they add in numbers.”
He further questioned what prompted the authorities to use the police in a matter which he felt could easily be dealt with by way of dialogue.
“What is happening mwebantu bakwalesa? What is this about? Is this just about that small space? Or you people have an agenda against the entire Chisokone Market? Ushe Mwalishitisha Chisokone Market?” he wondered.
“Can you tell us the truth about Chisokone Market? Yesterday you brought about 15 police vehicles… an issue where we are just supposed to sit down, discuss and conclude and make headway. An issue where you are just supposed to listen to what the marketeers want. Are you here to k!lls us? Finshi mumininepo? Last time ba ZNS k!lled a child… over nothing, you gün dówn an innocent child. When did marketeers and street venders become criminals? Are we refugees? What are you after?”
The clergy wondered of people vote for the current regime so that they could k!ll innocent traders.
“Do you sit in that office to start commanding the police like imbwa shenu or like your own security guards?” he said.
Pastor Simuchimba also warned that leadership was temporal and that the Provincial Minister had been dodging him over the matter while the President, Dr Hakainde Hichilema, who he claimed was aware of the situation remained mute.
