Just from a short video clip of Zambia National Women’s Team coach Nora Häuptle drilling the Copper Queens yesterday, netizens showered coach Nora with all sorts of praises.
From her emphasis for players to be taking only one or two touches on the ball, and the energy she exhibited as she ran around and kicked the ball, Facebook users likened her to the former Chipolopolo coach Hervé Renard who won Zambia the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.
One Facebook user bearing the name of Lukundo Sinkala commented on the same video which was posted on the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Facebook page saying “from just a clip, you can totally tell she knows exactly what she’s doing with the girls. But with …? Oh, it was always chipantile kuli Barbara… as usual!”
Another one, Bright Kasakula, said “she looks serious with business. Ebu Coach ubu. Not Kocha naka potbelly and can’t even kick the ball…”
Mcrecent Sibusenga said “this energy and noise same like that of Herve Renard. Naka motivation filya” while Zak Zim shared that “Trying the passing game. Which is good. Hope they play like that during an actual game.”
“That style of kicking the ball upfront was getting old, and easy to defend against. Next step is to also work on the offsides, because majority of those through balls were finding the players in an offside position.”
These are a few of the many comments praising the new Coach who is preparing the Copper Queens ahead of the two FIFA international friendlies against Malawi this month.
