Chadiza District Commissioner Malani Zimba has launched the ruling party’s mobilization campaign in Lumezi constituency following Speaker Nelly Mutti’s declaration of the seat vacant after the Jailing of MP Munir Zulu.
But Eastern Province permanent secretary Paul Thole says he is not aware that Zimba, a civil servant, is mobilizing his campaigns in Lumezi constituency.
Mr Thole says what he knows is that Chadiza DC is on leave and he is out of the country in Dar Es Salaam Tanzania according to what he indicated on his leave form.
Meanwhile, Mr Zimba claims what is circulating online is the work of enemies of progress because he is in the village visiting his people.
His denial is despite videos and images shared on social media showing Mr Zimba with ruling party cadres in Lumezi where a by-election is anticipated.
