The Zambia U17 Women’s National Team held a recovery session on Monday morning at Edwin Imboela Stadium following their 2-1 win over Benin in the first leg of the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup third-round qualifier.

The Copper Princesses arrived in Lusaka from Ndola on Sunday, a day after their victory at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium, where captain Mercy Chipasula netted a brace.

Coach Carol Kanyemba and her technical bench oversaw the recovery drills as the team shifted focus to the decisive second leg, which will be played in neutral Togo on Saturday, 26 April 2025.

The team is scheduled to leave for West Africa this afternoon, with sights set on finishing the job and securing qualification for the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup Morocco 2025 set for October.
