Levy Mwanawasa Stadium descended into chaos on Sunday after Power Dynamos were awarded a stoppage-time penalty, resulting in a 1-1 draw against rivals Nkana FC.

The decision sparked outrage among some fans, leading to acts of vandalism within the stadium. Although a few arrests were made, witnesses described the situation as “total chaos.”

The Zambian Premier League has yet to issue an official statement but is expected to respond soon.

Levy Mwanawasa Stadium is currently the only facility in Zambia certified to host CAF-sanctioned international matches. If repairs are not completed in time, national teams may be forced to play their home fixtures in neighboring countries.
