POST-MORTEM examination conducted on the body of a four-year-old girl of Chasefu District who was allegedly murd£red by her father, who accused the devil of eliminating her, has showed that she was d£filed.
The child, to be called Salome, was allegedly d£filed while her mother was in labour at the hospital.
She was discovered to have been d£filed as s£men was noted on her private parts.
The incident happened between Sunday and Monday at an unknown time in Senior Chief Magodi’s area.
Eastern Province police commanding officer Robertson Mweemba said post-mortem examination results on the minor’s body showed broken hymen, bruised neck, and bleeding from the nose, mouth and ears.
Mr Mweemba said the minor also sustained a fractured skull, which led to internal head bleeding, hence affecting the brain.
“Following the above findings, the minor’s private parts have been swábbed and also some specimens are yet to be collected from the accused for DNA test to solidify the case,” he said.
Mr Mweemba said the suspect, whose name is withheld since it is a gender-based violence case, remains detained in police custody.
