Five suspected criminals who allegedly staged a theft at Leicester City Player, Patson Daka’s flats which are under construction have been arrested in Kitwe on the Copperbelt Province.
A caretaker whose among the suspects has been triggered to be the master mind who went away with various items whose value have not yet been ascertained.
The incident is believed to have occured last month November between 01;30hrs and 06hrs respectively.
According to Copperbelt Commanding Officer, Peacewell Mweemba who confirmed the incident to Nkani, he said that the incident was reported by a Director of Vanguard Security identified as Kamoto Manyanyango.
Mweemba also said Manyanyango reported that a Security guard identified as Durani Daka was attacked and tied up by unknown criminals whilst guarding the flats under construction.
“The suspects stole seven wooden doors, 300 boxes of tiles , water pump, one microwave and other items who’s value is not yet ascertained”, Mweemba revealed.
“Police have only arrested five suspects identified as;
- Munalula Moola aged 22, a garden boy,
- Gift Ngwenya aged 25 who is unemployed,
- Augustine Livingi aged 26 also unemployed,
- Samuel Nchinyama aged 45 whose as well unemployed and Prince Phiri aged 28, a security Guard,”Mweemba disclosed
“Kapalu Victor who is believed to be the master mind in this case and a care taker was also apprehended and investigations are ongoing”, Mweemba added.
