Ten years ago, Loveness endured a brutal attack that left her half-dead and after months of miraculous recovery, she regained the ability to walk but was left relying on a button placed on her neck to speak with the incident forcing her to drop out of school in Grade Six.
Seeing her walk into Desai Primary School to restart her academic journey fills me with immense joy, no wonder I personally visited the school to thank the Headteacher for supporting her return.
Loveness now joins the many girls and boys whose education has been revived through my councilorship journey and I must admit that her story is the most touching of all.
