Isoka District has received 51 newly recruited teachers who have been posted to various schools across the district.
The 51 teachers are part of the over 4,000 teachers recently recruited by the government in a move aimed at improving the delivery of education services across the country, especially in rural areas.
ZANIS reports that Isoka District Commissioner Jairo Simbeye addressed the newly appointed teachers at the District Education Board Secretary (DEBS) office when they came to collect their appointment letters.
Mr. Simbeye congratulated the teachers on their appointment and urged them to focus on the positives of their deployment, which he said could be life-changing if embraced with the right mindset.
“Do not be discouraged by the areas you are being sent to,” he said, urging the new teachers to take advantage of the land in the district and engage in extra activities such as farming to supplement their income.
He further advised the teachers to remain disciplined, save money, and invest wisely while serving in the district.
