Tourism Minister RODNEY SIKUMBA has encouraged traditional leaders to construct museums which will help showcase their unique cultures.

Mr. SIKUMBA says the Museums will provide a platform for cultural exchange between locals and tourists, fostering mutual understanding and appreciation.

He has affirmed the government’s commitment to supporting various traditional ceremonies across the country as they help preserve cultural heritage, traditions and customs.

He says this is because traditional ceremonies play a pivotal role in contributing to Zambia’s history and identity.

Speaking during the Ukusefya Pangw’ena fundraising dinner, Commerce Minister CHIPOKA MULENGA called on the private sector to support this year’s Ukusefya Pangw’ena traditional ceremony and make it a success.

Meanwhile, Chief CHITIMUKULU the second represented by Chief LUCHEMBE of Kanchibiya District has announced that this year’s Ukusefya Pangw’ena traditional ceremony will be held on August 7th to 9th 2025.

ZANACO Representative CLEMENT CHISENSE disclosed that the bank will contribute 150,000 Kwacha towards the ceremony.
