PEOPLE with albinism are living in more fear following the latest suspected ritual attack on one of their own-a 10-year-old boy of Mkushi whose fore finger was chopped off last weekend.
According to Zambia Daily Mail, National Albinism Initiative Networking of Zambia acting patron Mark Ziligone has since appealed to law enforcement agencies to ensure that perpetrators of the attack on the innocent victim are arrested and prosecuted.
Last Saturday, three men, armed with sharp instrument, chopped off a finger of a 10-year-old boy of Kashimba Village in Mkushi.
The grievous assault happened between 09:00 hours and 11:00 hours and police have since launched a manhunt for the suspects.
Ziligone, who is also a journalist and artiste, said people living with albinism are living in more fear because similar incidents have happened in the past without suspects being arrested, leaving victims traumatised.
