Residents of Chililabombwe’s Nakatindi Ward on the Copperbelt have expressed concern over the quality of water they are drinking.

‎‎The residents allege that the erratic water supply being experienced has forced many of them to consume water suspected to be contaminated with sewage.‎‎

They told Prime TV 2 news that the water the community depends is from a source which is near a sewer system, a situation that has contributed to an increase in reported cases of diarrheal diseases in the area.‎‎

The community has since appealed to the water utility company to urgently address the problem and ensure a consistent supply of clean and safe drinking water.
