The Government of Zambia and WaterAid Zambia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at accelerating universal access to sustainable water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) services across the country.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Water Development Permanent Secretary Romas Kamanga stated that the MoU formalizes a joint commitment to tackling challenges in the water and sanitation sector.
In a speech delivered on his behalf by Director for Rural Development Funizani Phiri, Local Government Permanent Secretary for Technical Services Nicolas Phiri emphasized that the collaboration reflects a shared vision and provides a clear roadmap for a future anchored in tangible results.
WaterAid Zambia Country Director Yankho Mataya affirmed the organization’s dedication to safeguarding community wellbeing, highlighting the partnership as a strong step toward inclusive and sustainable development.
