The body of a young man who drowned in the Lukupa River on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, has been retrieved by local divers. Kaombeka Village Headman, Moses Kangwa, who led the four-day search, told Mano News that the body was found trapped in river plants. Family members have since identified the deceased as Michael MusondaThey have decided to bury him immediately as the body was already in a decomposed state.
Musonda had travelled from Lusaka with his friend, Mwamba Mulenga, to visit the latter’s family in Kasama Village. The two went swimming in the Lukupa River when the tragedy happened.
