The newly elected leadership of the University of Zambia Students’ Union (UNZASU) has paid a courtesy call on the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Arts.

The engagement centred on collaboration in youth-focused initiatives such as internships, mentorship, empowerment programmes, arts activities including UNZA’s Got Talent, and sports and recreation.

Arts Permanent Secretary Mr. Fumba Chama reaffirmed the Ministry’s open-door policy in line with President Hakainde Hichilema’s vision.

His Youth and Sport Mr. Kangwa Chileshe outlined some of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts, including the construction of new hostels at UNZA, the planned renovation of the sports hall, basketball court, and football pitch.

He further spoke on forthcoming initiatives such as the Youth Indaba and Youth Connect, underscoring the importance of engaging and collaborating with young people, noting that they remain a priority for both the Minister and the President.
