About 8 people have died, while 10 others are nursing serious injuries at Monze Mission Hospital following an accident that occurred around 23 hours in Chuungu area of Monze district.
According to Byta FM, the accident occurred when a traditional healer lost control of his vehicle due to overspeeding and ran into a group of people gathered at a named house waiting for him to provide various services.
The community managed to intercept the vehicle and set it on fire, while the traditional healer and his 6 counterparts managed to flee the scene.
This was before an official statement by the police.
