A total of 4 thousand 5 hundred and one (4,501) farmers in Chama District of Eastern Province have redeemed their farming inputs under the ongoing Farmer Input Support Programme (FISP) for the 2025/2026 farming season.
District Agriculture Coordinator -DACO, Danny Musukwa , in an interview today that 2 thousand 2 hundred and twenty-four (2,224) farmers have not yet redeemed their inputs.
Mr. Musukwa said the district has a target of 7 thousand 1 hundred and forty-five (7,145) FISP beneficiaries and that 6 thousand 7 hundred and twenty-five (6,725) are already on the voucher system.
He said the redemption process is expected to be completed by 30 November, 2025.
Mr. Musukwa has encouraged the remaining beneficiaries to visit their agriculture assistants in their respective camps so they can be assisted with the codes needed to redeem their inputs.
