Some residents of Mtendere B Township in Lusaka have called on ZESCO to stop supplying electricity following a fire that swept through a house shortly after power was restored.
The aggrieved residents complain that repeated power restorations have resulted in the damage of electrical appliances, leaving them to suffer financial losses.
They argue that the situation has become unbearable, stating that it is better to go without electricity than to continue losing valuable property, especially as the load management schedule is allegedly not being followed.
