FIRST Lady Mutinta Hichilema has donated a 36 seater Rosa Bus to the Mutinta Hichilema Center for Autism and Special Needs, with the aim of reducing the mobility challenges the children at the school were facing.
Speaking during the handover of the bus in Katondo area of Kabwe in Central Province, Mrs Hichilema said no child should be left behind because of the burden of transport to and from school.
She said the donation represents her commitment to equity, care, and ensuring that every child in Zambia, “especially those with autism and special needs have a fair chance to reach their full potential.
Earlier, the first lady donated K 200,000 to the mothers of the children at the center and urged them to venture into an economic activity to grow the money as a way of alleviating poverty.
