A Chipata-based peace advocate, Morgan Banda, has reached Sinda District on his walk to Lusaka, where he hopes to meet President Hakainde Hichilema.

Mr. Banda embarked on the journey from Chipata to Lusaka yesterday as part of an initiative to promote unity and peace ahead of the 2026 general elections.

He described the walk as a personal commitment to encouraging Zambians to uphold peace, tolerance, and national unity as the country approaches next year’s elections.

Speaking to Zambia Reports this afternoon, Mr. Banda said his wish is also to meet President Hakainde Hichilema upon reaching Lusaka.
