A Kabwe Municipal Council accountant is under investigation after allegedly paying himself a total of K1.8 million in double salaries. The matter was discovered during internal checks, which revealed irregular salary payments processed in his favour over a period of time. Council authorities have since moved to investigate the circumstances surrounding the payments, with disciplinary and legal action expected once investigations are concluded.
